How to visit an inmate in a TDCJ facility?

Before traveling to the unit, you should confirm the offender is assigned to the unit you are planning to visit and has visitation privileges. Visitors should call the unit for final confirmation.
All arrangements to schedule visits must be made through the warden's office between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., prior to the visit.

Should I send money to an inmate?

All essential items such as food, clothing, and hygiene items are provided to offenders. Offenders may purchase additional items from the unit commissary by using funds deposited into the offenders' trust fund accounts.

Where do I go to pick up an inmate upon release?
